Well after many months of having a blank page, Christina and I have decided to resurrect Jam on a Biscuit; the nickname we came up with for our cooking/ukulele duo, although it's pretty much just the food.
And there seems to be no time like the present, with our bellies full of a delicious brown butter raspberry tart, to introduce ourselves and give a little back story about how we came to start this blog. It started out on the bus to marching band competitions with a weekly tradition of eating a whole pint of Ben and Jerry's and a cup of glazed chocolate donut holes from Sheetz. Our munching continued to escalate with both homemade treats and restaurant adventures. At some point we realized that our 85% of our friendship revolves around the making and consumption of food.
Like heroin addicts in search of a fix, our frantic pursuit of the most delicious savory and sweet things to eat has led us through high school and nearly 4 years of college. We've had to face the distance that comes with often being far apart, but our love for food has held us together. This blog is our way of keeping in touch and keeping each other on our culinary toes so to speak, as well as sharing our love of food with all you fellow foodie cyborgs.
Keep on jammin!
